The 1st Pan Arab Urban Development Symposium (PAUDS) was organized by the Abu Dhabi Department of Urban Planning and Municipalities and the UN-Habitat Regional Office for Arab States.

PAUDS examined the challenges facing Arab cities and the role of data in identifying forward-looking strategies and partnerships.

One of the Symposium’s takeaways was the development of an initial set of priorities that define the role of data in the future of sustainable urban development in our region and that can be presented at the World Urban Forum in Abu Dhabi in 2020.
